Tags ticket TDX

TeamDynamix is making some user interface changes in an upcoming update. This update is scheduled to go live in May 2025. The New User Interface will be enabled for our Sandbox Environment on May 30 and for our Production Environment on May 31. . This article will provide some helpful links and resources that can help you prepare for the update release and new user interface changes.

Links and resources:

  • Webinars: TeamDynamix has been holding webinars to preview the changes, and an archived recording of the TDX webinar can be found on YouTube at the link below:

  • Release Notes: A link to the TeamnDynamix release notes for the update can be found here: (TDX Community login required)

  • Quick Start Guide PDFs: The PDF file attached to this article,  Technician Quick Start -  New Work Management Interface (v1.2).pdf  has screenshots and a breakdown of the new Side Panel View that will change how ticket technicians navigate their tickets. Overall, the aim was to reduce new windows opening up when working on a ticket and keep the work flow more centralized.
  • User Preview: If you want some hands-on experience with the update, the TDX 12.0 user preview can be found here: https://viu.teamdynamixpreview.com/ This preview is based on a snapshot taken a few months ago and does not contain live data.  It is intended to provide users with a preview of the new interface and cannot be used for live ticket updates. You may not find your most current tickets, but this is as intended.  Feel free to explore the new features and interface here.  Sign in using your normal TDX login credentials, then click on Users to see the new interface. The preview environment will be deactivated once the update goes live on May 30.

In a Nutshell:

The main impacts technicians who work on TDX tickets will be impacted by are the Side Panel View and the new Work Management Toolbar.

  • Side-Panel View: When clicking on a ticket from a report or a desktop, rather than opening in a new window as TDX has since we implemented it, the ticket details will slide out from the right-hand side of the screen as shown in the image below:

All of the controls you are used to in a ticket update window are now located and available in the side panel and tickets can be updated and worked on then saved as normal. The controls are styled slightly differently, but everything you are used to is there. This will make it easier to switch back and forth between tickets and reduce browser clutter. Using the controls in the upper right of the side panel. (2) Side-Panels can be moved to a new TDX application tab in the Work Management Toolbar (see below), opened as a new window (if you prefer the old method of viewing a ticket) or closed.

  • Work Management Toolbar:  TDX now has its own toolbar within the browser window it is opened in. This toolbar will re-open the tabs you had open in your last session, and tickets can be added to the toolbar if you want to keep an eye on any specific issues.

Note that in the image above, there is one "Service Request Detail" pinned to right hand side of the toolbar apart from the default application tabs (starting from the left hand side). Note also that the shortcut to the list of TDX applications has moved to the View Applications button at the top rather than the “waffle” menu control on the left side TDX toolbar in the old version.

Further details on these interface items and controls can be found in the attached document and the links provided above. Please let us know if you have any questions or comments.
