TeamDynamix is making some user interface changes in an upcoming update. This update is scheduled to go live in November 8th, 2025. This article will provide some helpful links and resources that can help you prepare for the update release and new user interface changes.

- User Preview: If you want some hands-on experience with the update, the TDX 12.1 user preview can be found here: https://viu.teamdynamixpreview.com/ This preview is based on a snapshot taken a few months ago and does not contain live data. It is intended to provide users with a preview of the new interface and cannot be used for live ticket updates. You may not find your most current tickets, but this is as intended. Feel free to explore the new features and interface here. Sign in using your normal TDX login credentials, then click on Users to see the new interface. The preview environment will be deactivated once the update goes live.
Highlights of the 12.1 update
- Dark Mode for technician interface
Sore eyes? Not anymore. Users can use the TeamDynamix technician interface in native dark mode. To enable this, technicians can toggle the setting on the My Profile > Settings > Edit page.:

Private Attachments
Like Feed entries, Attachments can now be marked as private, which hides the attachment from users in the client portal. When viewing a ticket, technicians can toggle whether an attachment is visible in the client portal using the Private checkbox.

When a new attachment is added, it will be marked as private or not based on these rules:
- Attachments uploaded via client portal default to not private.
- Attachments uploaded via Work Management or via email are set based on the application setting. Users cannot change this setting during upload of an attachment; they will need to change it on the existing attachment.

Start a Teams Chat from TeamDynamix
Note: This feature will not be available in the Release Preview environment. It relies on the Teams integration's connection to your TeamDynamix production environment and relies on a new version of the mobile app which will be released alongside version 12.1.
From a ticket, use the Actions > Start Teams Chat menu to start a conversation including people on the current ticket. .

Report Builder reports on dashboards can be filtered within the dashboard based on the fields that are configured as filterable. The "Prompt" column in report builder filters has been renamed to "Dashboard Filtering" in support of this feature.
