How do I search my IT Tickets?

Sign-In to view Ticket Requests

  • To access the Ticket Requests page, go to https://technology.viu.ca
  • Click on the My Requests button
  • Use your VIU Credentials to sign-in if you are prompted
  • Your Ticket Requests will show in a list at the bottom of the page along with a search area at the top.
     

Search your current IT Tickets

  1. The fastest way to search for a ticket is by keyword (or tag) in the Search Field or by Ticket number by using the ID field.
     
  2. In the Search Field type the keyword you are looking for and then click on the Search button
     
  3. The ticket system will only show results for tickets you have permission to view. These would be IT tickets you were the original requestor OR for tickets that you have been added as a contact.

 

 

Search your IT Ticket history

  1.  You can view your ticket history on your Ticket Requests page by selecting the Status Class drop-down
     
  2. Select the checkbox next to Completed
     
  3. Click the Search button.
     
  4. This will show any previously submitted tickets that were completed (marked as closed)
