When you send a Zoom Meeting Invitation, you may notice that Outlook may also include a Teams Meeting link in the invite to your recipients.
You can change this setting and turn off the Teams meeting notifications in your Outlook Options/Settings by removing the check mark from the Add online meeting to all meetings option.
The option for this fix may be found in different locations depending on which version of Outlook you are using.
Choose the Version you use from the list below, then follow the instructions for that section.
Desktop Version of Outlook 2016
NOTE: some people don’t see the Add Online Meeting option in the Desktop version. If you do not see this setting, try logging into your Webmail account and change the setting in there.
- Open Outlook 2016 and click on the File menu item and choose Options
- When the Outlook Options page opens, click on Calendar
- Uncheck the box for Add online meeting to all meetings
- Save your changes.
Webmail
- Log into your VIU Webmail account
- From Webmail you need to click on the gear icon (in the top right corner) to open the Settings
- On the Settings page, choose Calendar from the first column, then Events and Invitations from the second column

Remove the checkmark from “Add online meeting to all meetings”

Click SAVE to keep the change.
