Overview:
The VIU Community (you), can only view tickets if they are the requestor or a contact added to an IT Ticket. A requestor is the person who originally submitted the ticket request. A contact is an extra person added to a Ticket. IT Technicians can add contacts to the ticket at your request. If someone other than the requestor needs to view ticket information and be more involved or monitor the status of a Ticket.
Requestors can view their tickets by signing into https://technology.viu.ca and click on the My Requests button to view your tickets.
If you are added as a contact, follow the steps at the bottom of this article to see how to find tickets you are listed as a contact.
What can requestors and contacts see in a ticket?
Requestors and contacts can see; pre-defined public fields in the ticket (these are set by IT) and lastly, the comment feed at the very bottom of the page to see all communications between IT and contacts within a Ticket.
