For many requests, IT requires the full computer name of the system. This information is critical to differentiate between computers in the same location and allows us to deliver support remotely if the full computer name of the system is known.
Windows 10
Right-click Start, then click System. The computer name will be listed in this window (see screenshot below).
Windows 7
Click Start, Right Click on Computer and then Left Click on Properties. The computer name will be listed in this window (see screenshot below).
macOS
On your Mac, click on the Apple menu and open System Preferences. Next, click Sharing. The computer name for your Mac appears at the top of Sharing preferences.
