Tableau Software Issues on Macs

Recent changes to software licensing and network infrastructure at VIU have caused an issue for Mac users of the Tableau Reader software. Users affected by this issue will see an error stating "Tableau has quit unexpectedly" when they go to launch the software. The cause of this issue is an outdated security certificate in the software, and VIU's IT Department is unable to update the required files remotely.  

The fix for this issue is to re-download and reinstall the Tableau software from the developer's website using the link below. 

Click the link above, then look in the Answer: section of the article for the link to the Tableau Reader product page. Click this link, then click Download Now on the next page. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation, then retry Tableau Reader software.
