Installing USB Peripheral Devices

Problem:

A USB peripheral device isn't working with your computer.

• USB peripheral devices are external hardware that assist computer work such as USB headphones, mice, and label printers.

Cause:

A peripheral device (or it's driver) is not installed.

Solution

• Use the instructions provided by the manufacturer, or check department documentation
• If administrative access is required for installation, use the Make Me Admin tool to elevate your status: How to use the Make Me Admin tool

• Label makers/printers such as Zebra, Brother, Dymo or Smart
• Headsets
• Keyboards
• Mouse
• Speakers
