Normal.dotm asking to save

Problem:

When attempting to close Word, a notification appears stating, "Changes have been made to the global template, Normal.dotm. Would you like to save those changes?"

Solution:

1. Click Cancel and close Word
2. Close all instances of Microsoft Office
3. Open  File Explorer
4. Navigate to C:\users\yourname\appdata\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates
5. Delete all Normal.dotm and --if you have it-- normal_OLD.Dotm.
6. Restart Word

Note:
If you cannot see the AppData folder, check to seei if the folder is hidden.

To View Hidden Folders

• Click on the View option in your menu and check "Hidden Items".
