New Laptop Orientation Sessions

VIU IT Services requires all employees to attend an orientation session, to setup their assigned laptop guided by our Endpoint IT Technologists.   This friendly session is a quick paced walkthrough to setup your laptop and to demonstrate some features of the VIU platform.

How do I book an orientation session?

To attend an orientation, you must have a ticket to assign a laptop.  When the laptop is assigned, you will receive a ticket update with a link inviting you to book an orientation.

To book an orientation session please visit our booking site at: https://bookviu.timetap.com/

Why should I book an orientation session?

Even though you use a computer everyday, and are familiar with the VIU online services, there are several touch points to configuring and customizing the laptop to be used effectively.   MS Office 365 adds new features with One Drive, and online office.com.  The orientation is an opportunity to learn about new these features.

How long does an orientation take?

Each session lasts about 30 – 90 minutes.   We can take time to answer questions relating to the VIU Platform.
